I't is amazing to see that is a problem in other parts of the country. I guess I can understand though, it grows very easily , a cutting will grow into a full plant in no time. tearscratchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04149863766512547566noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9072140017254380063.post-28442038038695807642013-08-01T16:58:45.877-04:002013-08-01T16:58:45.877-04:00They are both in the portulaca family. They are both in the portulaca family.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9072140017254380063.post-35836685838885452872013-06-27T15:33:01.192-04:002013-06-27T15:33:01.192-04:00I'm a new gardener living in the south. I only Googled the plant this morning because I have a large specimen growing in a neglected planter; I decided to let it live, and even fertilize it, just to see how big it would get! The plant definitely does well in our hot, dry climate (Eastern Washington, little rain, 90-100F in the summer). I guess from now on I'll set aside a little purslane patch!

And those Pazazz flowers are just gorgeous.
