|in the day, as you walk around, you might find this....
This is your last chance to see the immensely popular show - by day or night. I suggest you start in early evening and watch as the darkness brings out the glass sculptures in a way nothing else can. It features 20 installations!
|In the spotlights, the plants seem to dance along with the art....
That is what I did with my family visiting from Florida. We entered, visited the phenomenal bookstore ( another must for garden lovers) and then walked the grounds in the late afternoon light. The sweeping vistas and art contributed to a memorable evening.
|in the NYBG bookstore...just had to share.

We then had a great dinner near the entrance in the Visitor Center plaza, listened to the live music, and made our way to the conservatory for more Chihuly wonders.

My guests, also in the landscape profession in Florida, were astounded. They had never been to the NY Botanical Garden before and were admiring the gardens as well as the art. Nothing can match the NY Botanical Garden, in my opinion. It is like the Metropolitan Museum of botanical gardens. :-)
NYBG really knows how to light these artworks up so that you are amazed at their magnificence. They are infused with a magical energy that you will feel as you walk around. Additionally, the placement of these pieces are done so well that they lead you from one glorious garden location to another.
And do not forget to end your visit by going to the glass house Conservatory:
